Biography:
Dr. Jianping Gou is a professor at the School of Computer and Information Science, Southwest University. He also serves as an executive member of the Multimedia Committee, Computer Vision Committee, Embodied Intelligence Committee, and the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society for Artificial Intelligence. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, CSIG, and CCF. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, and pattern recognition, with a current emphasis on large model technology (large model compression) and the theoretical and applied research in smart agriculture, smart healthcare, and smart buildings. Specific research areas include: computer vision representation and classification, cross-modal large model distillation, large language model distillation, large model quantization distillation, graph model distillation, federated distillation, and medical ultrasound reconstruction. He has published over 170 academic papers, including over 120 SCI-indexed papers, many of which are ESI highly cited papers (with over 6000 Google citations for a single paper and seven consecutive years of ESI highly cited status). He has led over 10 national and provincial/ministerial-level projects and holds nearly 20 authorized invention patents.
